Environmental Law

Antonio has outstanding practice in Environmental legal advice and litigation areas, representing clients in relevant projects and legal disputes, including before Brazilian Higher Courts. Before founding the firm, he worked as an associate lawyer in Brazilian full service law firms, including in association with US offices. He also worked as environmental legal adviser for the Republic of Nauru at the United Nations. He was legal adviser to the United States Environmental Protection Agency - USEPA. He is a post-graduate professor at the Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro (FGV Direito Rio) and the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ). He practices in the Environmental Law area.

Master degree in Environmental Law from the Pace University School of Law, New York, USA. Post-Graduate degree in Environmental Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Graduate degree in Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Member of the Environmental Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro Section (OAB/RJ).

A recognized leader in his area, Antonio was ranked among the Leading Individuals in Environmental Law practice by “Chambers Latin America” in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. He was also appointed by “Legal 500 2012” for his leadership in the coordination of the Environmental Law area of a large full service law firm in Brazil. Antonio is constantly quoted, since 2012, as one of the most admired environmental lawyers by the most respected Brazilian publication, "Análise Advocacia 500".
