Environmental Law

Rômulo has a broad experience in the Environmental legal advisory area. Over the years, he has also been involved in strategic Environmental litigation before State, Federal and the Supreme Courts. He built his practice from a solid academic background, with Master and PhD degrees in the US. He was a founder of the Brazilian-American Center for Law and Environment, a research center connected to the Pace University School of Law in New York, USA. Rômulo is currently involved in complex cases of negotiation of environmental conflicts, representing large domestic and multinational groups. He practices in the Environmental Law area.

PhD and Master degrees in Environmental Law from the Pace University School of Law, New York, USA. Master degree in Economic and Social Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUC-PR). Graduate degree in Law from PUC-PR. Professor of Environmental Law at the undergraduate and lato sensu postgraduate programs and at the Master program in Regulation at the Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro (FGV Direito Rio). Adjunct Professor at the Pace University School of Law. Visiting Professor at Georgia State University College of Law, Atlanta, USA. Member of the Environmental Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro Section (OAB/RJ).

Recognized leader in his area, Rômulo has been constantly invited to speak at conferences, seminars and symposiums in Brazil and worldwide. Rômulo was also called upon to participate in self-regulatory initiatives of important interest groups in Brazil. His legal advice is frequently sought by large domestic and multinational groups.
